Hello everyone.
Name is Sean.I am from Oregon.
Looking for a bit of direction on fishing some of the High seirra lakes.
Not looking for the secret spot but am open to hear some of the popular yet favorite spots to wet a line.

As for how far in I think no more than a 5-6 mile hike one way.
This way the wife and I can get in a few diffrent hikes and lakes in over a week.

I look forward to your responses.

Thank you.

Sean

I personally have not done much back country hiking, but I have a couple of books on Eastern Sierra back country fly fishing and fly fishing the John Muir Trail. I enjoy fishing more than hiking so I haven't spent too much time back there. A couple years back I hiked in about 6 miles from Red's Meadow. This is in the Ansel Adams Wilderness near the Devil's Postpile. Beautiful and no people, but small rainbows only, no goldens.

I recently received some info on hiking in for goldens. PM me and I'll get you that info - I can also give you some suggestions on where to think about hiking in for some easier access back country lakes.
